I want to thank everyone who prayed for our weekend, it was wonderful. We had a very blessed weekend. Several religious heritages were represented. Some of them included Baptist ministers, Catholics, Methodists, and even church of Christ, more may have been represented, but these are the ones I know personally about.
Next Sunday, our members will make a decision on taking down the sign in front of our building. If the sign is what's preventing people to come, then we are going to remove it. We are also discussing going to a more open form meeting by removing the pews and going to more of a living room atmosphere with home furniture. There is just nothing intimate about sitting in pews and looking at the back of people's heads.
I am so excited about the possibilities of growth. If you have any ideas or suggestions please let me know. As long as God is getting glorified, we will do it.

This weekend Theophileous will be a guest speaker in our community. Please pray that God will bless our weekend with His presence. It is our prayer that God will have an impact on our community in a way that He (God) will get all the glory.
Father, please bless us with your presence this weekend. Open our hearts to what you want us to know, open our ears to what you want us to hear, open our eyes to what you want us to see, but most of all help us to love others as you would have us love. Amen.

Sorry, that I've been away a few days, but I have not been able to leave this new web site. It takes only a few seconds AND IT'S FREE.
You put your name and school information (High School or College Attended) and it will bring up pictures of you. It even showed some of my pictures of my football days. Some pictures I never even knew were taken. You should try it, I bet there are even a few pictures of you that you didn't know existed or pictures of you and your friends that you had forgotten about. Just go to http://www.worldschoolphotographs.com and let me know if you had success. It amazes me that at the click of a button I can find so many pictures of me. Kind of scary isn't it?

The Final Exam David Langerfeld
A seminary student shared about the most unusual exam he had ever taken.
When he got to class, everybody was doing their last minute studying. The teacher came in and said he would review with them for just a little bit before the test. They went through the review, most of it right off the study guide, but there were some things the teacher was reviewing that the students had never heard before. When they questioned him about it, he said that those things were in the book and that they were responsible for everything in the book.
Realizing they were unprepared for some of the material, many of the students became anxious and worried about the soon-approaching final exam.
Finally it was time to take the test. The professor gave them the following instructions: "Leave the tests face down on the desk until everyone has one and I'll tell you to start."
When they turned them over, every answer on the test was filled in! The bottom of the last page said the following:
"This is the end of the Final Exam. All the answers on your test are correct. You will receive an 'A' on the final exam. The reason you passed the test and will receive an "A" on your exam is because the creator of the test took it for you. All the work you did in preparation for this test did not help you get the "A". You have just experienced grace!"
"But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ." Ephesians 4:7

Over and over you hear people say, "I wish I had a lot of money, I would do so and so." But the Bible says if you are not faithful with little, you won't be faithful with much." (Luke 16:10) A noted millionaire, by the name of Lurie from San Fransico gave this information about men of wealth. He also added this footnote: "What shall it profit a man...?
In 1923, a group of the world's most successful financiars met at the Edgewater Beach Hotel in Chicago. Present were: The president of the largest steel industry; The president of the largest utility company; The greatest wheat speculator; The president of the New York Stock Exchange; A member of the President's cabinet; The greatest "bear" on Wall Street; The president of the Bank of International Settlements; The head of the world's greatest monopoly.
Collectively, these tycoons controlled more wealth than there was in the United States Treasury, and for years newspapers and magazines had been printing their success stories and urging the youth of the nation to follow their examples. Twenty-five years later, let's see what happened to these men:
The president of the largest independent steel company, Charles Schwab, lived on borrowed money the last five years of his life and died broke.
The greatest wheat speculator, Arthur Cutten, died abroad, insolvent.
The president of the New York Exchange, Richard Whitney, was recently released from Sing Sing.
The member of the President's cabinet , Albert Fall, was pardoned from prison so he could die at home.
The greatest "bear" in Wall Street, Jessie Livermore, committed suicide.
The head of the world's greatest monopoly, Ivar Krueger, committed suicide.
All of these men had learned how to make money, but not one of them had learned how to live.
"What shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" (Matt. 8:36)
Our only limitation is the size of our faith! God Bless!
