 CATHOLIC MATH!

Little David, who was Jewish, was failing math.
His parents tried everything. Tutors, mentors, flash cards, special
learning centers, and nothing helped.

As a last resort, someone told them to try a
Catholic school. "Those nuns are tough" they said.

David was soon enrolled at St. Mary's.
After school on the very first day David ran through the
door and straight to his room, without even kissing his mother hello.

He started studying furiously, books and papers spread out over his
room.

Right after dinner he ran upstairs without mentioning
TV, and hit the books harder than before.
His parents were amazed.

This behavior continued for weeks, until report card day arrived.

David quietly laid the envelope on the table, and went to his room.

With great trepidation, his mother opened the report.

David had gotten an A in math!

She ran up to his room, threw her arms around him and asked, "David
honey, how did this happen? Was it the nuns?

"No!", said David. "On the first day of school when I saw that guy
nailed to the plus sign, I knew they weren't fooling around!"

 SUPER BOWL FAN!

A man receives a free ticket to the Super Bowl from his company.
Unfortunately, when he arrives at the stadium he realizes the seat is in the last row in the corner of the stadium.
He is closer to the Goodyear Blimp than the field.

About halfway through the first quarter he notices an empty seat 10 rows off the field right on the 50-yard line. He decides to take a chance and makes his way through the stadium and around the security guards to the empty seat. As he sits down, he asks the gentleman sitting next to him, "Excuse me, is anyone sitting here?" The man replies no.

Now, very excited to be in such a great seat for the game, he again inquires of the man next to him, "This is incredible!
"Who in their right mind would have a seat like this at the Super Bowl and not use it?"

The man replies, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me.
I was supposed to come with my wife, but she passed away.
This is the first Super Bowl we haven't been together at since we got married in 1967."

"Well, that's terribly sad. But still, couldn't you find someone to take the seat? A relative or close friend?"

"No," the man replied, "they're all at the funeral."

 THE CURE!

A woman went to the doctor's office where she was seen by one of the younger doctors. After about four minutes in the examination room, she burst out, screaming as she ran down the hall.

An older doctor stopped her and asked what the problem was and she told him her story. After listening, he had her sit down and relax in another room. The older doctor marched down the hallway to the back where the young doctor was writing on his clipboard. "What's the matter with you?" the older doctor demanded. "Mrs. Reid is 62 years old, has four grown children and seven grandchildren and you told her she was pregnant?"

The younger doctor continued writing and without looking up said, "Does she still have the hiccups?"

 NEWS FLASH!

Texas' worst air disaster occurred when a small 2-seat Cessna 150 plane, piloted by two Texas A&M students, crashed into a College Station cemetery earlier today. Search and rescue workers have recovered 300 bodies so far and expect the number to climb as digging continues into the evening.
The pilot and copilot survived and are helping in the recovery efforts.

 OPEN YOUR EYES!

Genesis 21:19,20 "Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water...God was with the boy as he grew up."

Things were desperate for Hagar and her young son who had been banished by her master to wander in the desert. They were out of water, and were facing death. Hagar had distanced herself from her son so she wouldn't have to hear him cry. With no hope and no clue what to do, she sat there and sobbed.

God heard the boy crying and sent an angel to tell Hagar, "Do not be afraid...for I will make him into a great nation." Well, God showed her where water was, delivered them, and made the son a great nation.

Feeling desperate? Suffering a grave injustice? Hit a brick wall? Feeling lost? Fighting off a sense of hopelessness? Your Source of hope, strength, and deliverance is right there with you, right now. As you seek Him, He will give hope, make a way, and walk with you.

Lord, please open my eyes to see Your way in my current situation.
